Privacy Policy
What we collect
Votewire doesn't have accounts, logins, or profiles. When you create a poll, we store the question and option text you type in, and the vote counts as they come in. When you vote, we store which option you picked, tied to nothing more than a random poll code — not your name, email, or identity.
How voting stays (mostly) fair
To keep one person from voting fifty times on their own poll, your browser saves a small local marker after you vote (using standard browser session storage). It stays on your device and isn't sent anywhere else or used to track you across other sites.
Where your data lives
Poll data is stored in a hosted database (Supabase). It's used only to make polls work — loading results, counting votes — never sold or shared for any other purpose.
Advertising
Votewire is partly supported by ads served through Google AdSense. Google and its advertising partners may use cookies to show ads based on your visits to this and other sites. You can review and adjust how Google personalizes ads at adssettings.google.com.
Payments
If you subscribe to Votewire Pro, payment is handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card details — Stripe processes the transaction directly and shares only what's needed to confirm your subscription.
Children's privacy
Votewire isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the update date at the top of this page will change too. Continued use of Votewire after a change means you accept the update.
